Bowden Seven by Rossdale Homes has been awarded SA’s first 5 Star Green Star building design certification.

Not only does this increase home values, but it also gives Bowden residents the opportunity to greatly reduce their power and water bills and enjoy a healthier place to live with airy, light-filled homes.

Social responsibility is a key part of Bowden’s culture, so all buildings will meet 5 Star Green Star standards and Bowden is also targetting a 5 Star Green Star – Communities rating.

Green Star is a world’s best practice rating tool from the Green Building Council of Australia and covers a wide range of sustainability issues. It is continually updated to ensure the highest level of environmental performance.

Romilly Madew, CEO of the Green Building Council of Australia said, “Renewal SA showed true leadership in mandating 5 Star Green Star ratings for each of the developments in Bowden, and this is the first of many buildings that will meet ‘Australian Excellence’ benchmarks for environmentally sustainable design.”

Along with the first residential Green Star Buildings, Bowden has also recently received a 5 Star Green Star rating for the interior fit-out of the Information & Sales Centre.
