An upgrade within the Adelaide Parklands opposite Bowden will be underway shortly, with a spectacular pedestrian bridge link to Bowden at Fourth Street to follow some years later.
The area opposite Bowden adjoins a large area of parklands bounded by Park Terrace, Port Road and the railway line. The upgrade includes a proposed new activity centre in adjoining Bonython Park.
The new Parklands will provide an exciting range of features and attractions that could include sporting facilities, a community garden, native gardens and a general recreational area.
LMC, the City of Charles Sturt and Adelaide City Council are working together to manage the consultation and upgrade process with a $4.5 million contribution from the State Government.
