The Bowden Elite Team Series held its exciting finale in front of thousands of spectators during the week of the Tour Down Under. The series is the premiere road race of Cycling SA. Twelve teams of eight riders compete in a cycling frenzy of thirteen rounds including a 76km race from Wallaroo to Kadina and back.
The 2012/13 winner of the Bowden Yellow Jersey was Harry Carpenter who also won Best Young Rider for the series.
“I’m stoked to win the Bowden Elite Teams Series, but my SASI team mates have all played a big role in helping me win the Yellow Jersey,” said Carpenter after claiming the series title.
“I want to thank Bowden, too. This series is a great thing for cycling in our state and all the elite riders look forward to it every year. But none of it would have been possible without the generosity of Bowden to sponsor the series.”
