Bowden is moving forward with 500 homes sold and new developers on the block

26 Apr 2017

The Bowden Project has achieved a major milestone reaching 500 homes sold, as well as announcing the construction of new townhouses and apartments.

A new South Australia consortium comprised of Arcadian Projects and Leyton Funds Management will construct its first residential project at the award-winning city fringe development.

The consortium was successfully selected through an expression of interest to purchase the 2,400-square-metre parcel located on Gibson Street.

The site is earmarked to house 50 to 60 dwellings comprised of contemporary townhouses and apartments with on-site parking.

The design concept for the development draws inspiration from the industrial origins of the Bowden area, and blending seamlessly with a contemporary feel focussing on light and space. This new development will have magnificent views across the Bowden Town Square.

The residential development will exemplify excellence and innovation that will meet 5-Star Green Star principles of sustainability contributing to making Bowden a green and vibrant community.

As a developer of medium and high-density residential properties, Arcadian Projects is a design led developer with a strong focus on sustainability initiatives to benefit the homeowner.

Arcadian Projects estimates that up to 100 workers will be on the site at the peak of construction. The construction is expected to take 18 months.

The site at Gibson Street was particularly attractive to us as it afforded us the opportunity to deliver a range of alternative homes including both apartments and townhouses.
