The brand new Bowden Information and Sales Centre was opened to the public for the first time on Saturday, 24 March. Despite the early threat of rain clouds, the sun shone as brightly as the happy, painted faces of the children who enjoyed the celebrations.
The day was filled with exciting musical performances from local artists kiki.manic.escapade, Myles Mayo and Band, Brian Ruiz and the Adelaide Piano Busker, Peter Hacquoil.
Stunning belly dancers from the Cinnabar Red Dance Collective entertained, while the roving Cirkidz performing troupe amazed crowds with their circus skills.
Visitors also enjoyed wandering the various market stalls as local street artist, Seb Humphreys, painted an amazing mural throughout the day.
Inside the Information and Sales Centre, visitors eagerly looked over the large scale model of the area and interacted with various exhibits on display.
Project staff were on hand to answer any questions and take registrations of interest from those who wanted to stay up to date with what’s happening at Bowden. Even if you missed out on the grand opening, the Information and Sales Centre is open every day from 10am – 4pm for you to discover the hidden delights of a life more interesting at Bowden.
