Those who have locked their lips around Caro Club’s tasty food truck treats since their inception in 2017 will know the excitement we feel for their bricks and mortar property opening its doors in Bowden.

For those who haven’t, trust us. This is a treat. Better yet, make your way down to their Plant 3 premises and get to know their magnificent menu.

We sat down with owner and former My Kitchen Rule contestant, Tim Attiwill for a super quick chat to discuss the exciting new move.

Two years ago the CaroClub team had decided that living their cooking life permanently on wheels wasn’t necessarily what the future should hold for them. Though the food truck had reached an excellent level of notoriety, often selling out at events, they were hoping for a more traditional style home to settle in to.

On the search they came across our brilliant suburb of Bowden and began chats with the Plant 3 gang.

“We just saw such an opportunity in Bowden. The new developments happening are really cool but what was great was there was already a strong community vibe” said Tim. They also felt there wasn’t anything else in the area with the same style of offering, unless residents wanted to venture into town.

The new bricks and mortar venue boasts all the casual, tasty food goodness you’ve come to expect with Caro Club: great burgers, exceptional fried chicken, mouthwatering hot chips, but with a new twist, by partnering with Bowden Cellars.

Bowden Cellars is being run by Dale Wostikow and Josh Voigt, who you may know from the successful event, Adelaide Wine Markets. The combination of the two means we get to enjoy a unique offering in Bowden. Tim says the idea is that “people can enjoy two different kinds of experience, either come in and enjoy a really great wine and a burger or order takeaway, grab a bottle and take it home to enjoy on the balcony.”

Sounds good to us. For those who’re a little wary, the guys want to assure you that just because Caro Club is meat driven doesn’t mean they won’t cater to dietaries for all. There’s a delicious vegan fried chicken coming made from mushroom, which has been a long time in development and hasn’t been seen before. As well as gluten free and alternatives to suit all tummies.

You can swing by for dinner Wednesday – Sunday and for brunch, lunch and dinner on the weekends.

The Caro Club truck won’t be hanging up it’s wheels entirely just yet. The diehards will still be able to hire it out for large private events such as weddings and birthdays. Brilliant!

“We really want our focus to be on becoming part of the community here first. Of course we’re happy to welcome everyone but Bowden’s community is really special and we’re happy we get to be a part of that.”

Oh, and it’s walk ins only!
