The first commercial and mixed use parcels at Bowden will be released to developers on Tuesday 21 May 2013.
The site which fronts Park Terrace, will allow for development up to eight levels, taking in views across the western parklands and to the city.
Renewal SA Chief Executive, Fred Hansen says the release of the first commercial site within the Bowden development is a major milestone for the project.
“This release is in direct response to growing inquires from the commercial sector.
“It represents a fantastic opportunity for developers, builders and designers to get involved in Bowden and become part of a world-class community that will transform the way many South Australians choose to live in the future,” said Mr Hansen.
The rear of the site will see planned retail shops and a fresh food market as part of the Bowden Town Square that will service residents and future workers.
The release comes after the first streets at the $1 billion dollar Bowden development were officially opened to the public last week.
The $1 billion Renewal SA Bowden development will incorporate architecturally designed buildings in a lively cultural scene and colourful street life as part of its vision for South Australia’s first large-scale, higher density urban development.
