Systembuilt Homes has been selected as the successful developer of the second land release in the $1 billion Bowden development.
Housing and Urban Development Minister Patrick Conlon said the developer secured both available parcels of land as a result of the high quality of their submission and will build three-storey terrace homes, situated on Seventh Street.
“Systembuilt Homes was chosen following an extensive process by Renewal SA and the Bowden Design Review Panel to ensure the highest architectural standards are met,” he said.
“The quality of offers we have received from industry for the first and second land releases of Stage 1 has been outstanding.
“It is exciting to see how developers are designing new ways of showcasing higher-density living.”
Mr Conlon said design plans for the first land release are expected to be revealed to the public from early November when off-the-plan sales opportunities are officially released to market.
This month, Renewal SA will call for Expressions of Interest from developers for a joint venture demonstration apartment project on lot 24, the first land release within Stage 2 of the Bowden development.
“The demonstration apartment project will showcase the benefits of apartment living and lead and inspire other builders and developers by way of exemplary urban design, affordable housing and sustainability outcomes,” Mr Conlon said.
Purchaser submissions will again be assessed and guided by Renewal SA and the Bowden Design Review Panel.
The Bowden development spans 16 hectares and is South Australia’s first large-scale, higher-density urban development.
More than 2,400 homes will ultimately be built with approximately 3,500 new residents over 15 years, including opportunities for businesses to operate in a vibrant, walkable community close to the city.
All enquiries regarding future off-the-plan sales or land releases should be directed to Sales Manager Georgie Taarnby on 1800 269 336 or by visiting the Bowden Information & Sales Centre on Park Terrace, which is open seven days from 10am-4pm.
