It’s time to celebrate Bowden’s new “front yard”

4 Feb 2016

Come over to the new, upgraded Adelaide Park Lands on Saturday, 27 February from 4pm to 9pm and celebrate the official opening with a ‘Fork in the Park’.

The Hon. Stephen Mullighan, BA, MP, Minister for Housing and Urban Development will officially open the upgraded park lands across the road from Bowden at 4.30pm.

All the food trucks you’ve grown to know and love will be there dishing out their yummy nosh, while you mingle with your mates and listen to great live music from local SA bands.

Get there early to make the most of this fun, family event in an awesome new park.

What’s new at the park lands

Thanks to the State Government, Adelaide City Council and the City of Charles Sturt, we’ve adopted the upgraded Park Lands as our own front yard!

With new landscaping and a heap of new facilities, we’re so keen to enjoy the rest of the summer across the road.

You’ll find more trees, more BBQs and more shady seated areas — it’s a great place to hang with your family and friends. And there’s so much fun stuff to do!

Grab your mates and enjoy smashing some balls on the new tennis and basketball courts.

Or, if you’re a skater, you can bring your board along and show off your ‘ollies’ and ‘grinds’ in the new skate area.

Don’t forget to keep an eye out for the community garden — it’s growing soon!
