If you’ve been wondering what’s cooking at 18 Park Terrace, you’ll be pleased to hear that the brand new eatery, Jarmer’s Kitchen will soon be moving in.
Chris Jarmer won the tender over more than 50 other applicants who were keen to set up shop here at Bowden’s front door.
No stranger to success, local chef, Chris currently runs the popular Scool restaurant at Glenelg as well as his own catering business, Chris Jarmer Events. He’s also launched the Chris Jarmer @HOME gourmet line, which includes Sticky Balsamic, Thai Dressing and Olive Oil.
Chris and his wife, Linda have spent time overseas checking out the latest food trends and getting inspired with fresh ideas; but for them, home is definitely where the heart is and they can’t wait to set up shop in Bowden in early May.
“I love the concept of Bowden,” he says. “It’s cool, fresh and hip. And I’m all for anything that encourages the future prosperity of Adelaide.”
Renewal SA chief executive, Fred Hansen said the restaurant will add to the appeal of Bowden.
“There was strong interest in the space. Chris Jarmer is a highly regarded restaurateur and demonstrated that he has the experience and expertise — an ideal match for Bowden.”
Not only will Jarmer’s Kitchen be a great new place to eat breakfast, lunch or dinner, you’ll also be able to buy ingredients or ready-prepared meals from the Pantry to take home.
