Bowden continues to attract passionate, independent operators — and the arrival of MÁDE Lash & Brow Atelier (but you can call it MÁDE for short) is a beautiful example of that growth in action.
Founded by Natasha, MÁDE is a lash and brow boutique specialising in natural enhancements and healthy, tailored treatments. After six years of running her beauty business from home while raising her young children, Natasha decided to step into a dedicated studio space, and Bowden felt right.
“When I saw the space, it was just a shell… concrete walls, nothing in it, but I had a feeling. I really loved it,” she says.
What followed was months of negotiation, fit-out and careful planning before opening just prior to Christmas. Since then, the response from the local community has been strong, with many clients discovering the business through neighbourhood word-of-mouth and local online groups.
“I’ve had a really good response from the neighbourhood and the surrounding areas. Everybody here has been so lovely,” Natasha shared.
MÁDE stands out for its considered, health-focused approach to beauty. Rather than promoting heavy or overly dramatic styles, the focus is on enhancing natural features in a way that protects the integrity of clients’ lashes and brows.
Consultations are a key part of the process, ensuring each treatment aligns with a client’s expectations, facial features and lifestyle. Services range from lash extensions for those wanting added volume and length, through to lower-maintenance lash lifts and brow sculpting treatments that can last six to eight weeks.
Education also plays an important role in the MÁDE experience. Her clients are guided through aftercare and styling advice, with retail products available in-studio to help prolong results and maintain lash and brow health between appointments.
The studio itself reflects Natasha’s philosophy: elevated, but welcoming. The fit-out has been carefully designed to feel calm and cosy rather than clinical, creating a space where clients can relax and unwind.
“I wanted it to feel luxe but cozy, like you’re going to hang out with a girlfriend,” she explains. This is certainly the energy that she exudes, too.
The balance feels particularly well-suited to Bowden, a neighbourhood known for blending thoughtful design with genuine community connection.
With online booking available via QR code, easy communication through Instagram, and flexibility for after-hours appointments when needed, MÁDE is designed to work around busy lives. Especially for Bowdenites, this feels like the perfect place to just pop by for a pampering session or a refresh.
As Bowden continues to grow, it’s businesses like MÁDE Lash & Brow Atelier, community-minded, personal and passionate, that help shape the neighbourhood’s character.
MÁDE is now open in Bowden.
