Renewal SA Works Program: Origin Wall Training Site Stage 2

This Renewal SA Works Program proudly supports training and employment initiatives for local people.

The Origin Wall Live Training Site Program – Stage II is being delivered at Bowden in partnership with Renewal SA, TAFE SA and is funded through the Government of South Australia’s WorkReady initiative.

Specifically targeting people living within Bowden, the City of Charles Sturt and wider western region, this program will:

  • deliver a Certificate II in Construction Pathways (specialising in Brick Laying and Plastering) CPC20211, including tickets in White Card and Work Zone Traffic Management
  • develop skills in the Mortar Trade area, including reading plans, set out and levelling, OH&S and how to work sustainably in the construction industry
  • provide practical “hands on” experience working on real live projects, including beautification of the Bowden area by constructing a brick and rendered panel fence.

Participants will be required to supply their own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

This Program will commence on Monday, 21 September 2015 and runs Monday to Thursday for 11 weeks.
